Welcome to Watches2U
Michael Kors has been a big name is fashion circles since the launch of his career in the 90's.
The MK spark was ignited in the hearts of the UK when a model from his Runway collection of watches appeared on a popular reality TV show. From then on the people of Britain simply couldn't get enough and it’s clear to see why.
This week I am reviewing the Ladies Sawyer MK2424 by Mr Michael Kors himself.
The first thing I notice about this gorgeous design is the unique amber-hue to the dial. I personally am a big fan of earth tones so this won me over straight away. It’s not a colour you often see in a wrist watch.
The dial itself has a really intricate design element. The usual analogue hands are present but with the addition of a chronograph function.
If you’re wondering what chronograph means then don’t worry you’re not alone!
It’s the use of extra dials, sometimes up to 3, on the watch face to show different timers. These can be used as stopwatch functions which is a handy little extra.
If you’re not really a stopwatch kinda girl then don’t be put off because aside from the functionality the chronograph dials add a great detailed look to the face.
If like me you are constantly at a loss as to what the date is then you really will benefit from the large digital date window at the top of the display
Cute little diamantes are studded at the top of every individual hour marker bringing extra sparkle to your wrist. (I am yet to meet a lady who doesn’t like sparkles!)
Ladies, if you need any more convincing that this watch is nothing but beautiful then look no further than the leather strap. Keeping with the colouring in the face the strap is made from genuine brown leather, it is described as a whiskey colour but I like to think of it more as a toffee brown. Crocodile skin markings run through the length of the strap which is a quirky traditional twist on todays fashion trends.
Overall this ladies Sawyer model is very different to the "girl next door" feel you get from a lot of Michael Kors watches but that can only be portrayed as a positive.
It still has the oversized look which is very on trend right now but it’s completely different from any watch I’ve seen people wearing at the moment.
You know what they say ladies…dare to be different!
