Welcome to Watches2U
Jean René Lacoste was an accomplished sportsman first and foremost, and an iconic fashion designer a close second. Having won seven Grand Slam tournaments, he was the World No 1 player for two consecutive years. Being such a famous tennis player, he competed in all the biggest tournaments. However, he felt that the tennis outfit was too stiff and uncomfortable, so he designed a cotton shirt with a flat, protruding collar, which he introduced to the world in the late 20s.Nowadays, the brand expanded and offers clothing, shoes, bags and accessories - so we take a look at the new watch collections.
The new 12.12 watch range from Lacoste takes inspiration from the iconic polo shirt. Available in a wide range of colours - from classic white and Crocodile green to brighter colours such as deep blue and bright red, all these watches have the iconic Crocodile logo on the dial, next to the third hour marker. All these logos are in the original green, however a few can be found in rose gold.
The Capbreton range takes inspiration from nautical elements – from yachting, resortwear and maritime features. The watches feature two subdials – a date subdial and a 24-hour one for easy daily features. The straps are silicone for prolonged comfortable wear and water resistance for fun maritime sports.
The new Moon collection contains sleek slim watches, perfect for daily wear as they can be easily paired with any outfit. You can easily take this watch well into the night for the perfect time out. Choose your favourite from either a leather strap or a silver milanese strap, with a white, black or blue dial. The Lacoste logo matches the hour markers or the head casing for a truly complete look.
The Lacoste Motion range takes inspiration from urban life – speed, graffiti and movement. The 41mm dial is held in place by a silicone strap, inspired by an active lifestyle. Each dial has the iconic Lacoste logo next to the 12th hour marker, and it matches the colour of the dial – black, green or blue>. The straps have intricate designs, for a fun twist.
The ladies’ watches in the Victoria range all have a white leather strap, reminiscent of the Wimbledon tennis rules. The iconic crocodile logo sits in the centre in various colours, and the stones surrounding the dial match it. The clean look is finished by a silver or rose gold backdrop, and no hour markers in order to keep it in line with the minimal trend.
Lacoste also offer a watch range for kids, with fun colours and easy to read dials. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Polo shirt, the kids' watches come in a wide range of colours, such as blue, pink, red, green and white. The iconic green Lacoste logo is next to the third hour marker, and the silicone strap holding the dial in place is an easy, comfortable fit.
