New Nixon watches 'could appeal to clumsy people'

It has been suggested that a new range of Nixon watches could appeal to people who are somewhat clumsy.

Gizmodo Australia said the timepieces in the Gunship Collection are designed so that the paint comes off over time, resulting in a cool, distressed look.

"It's actually a matte finish, which helps the watches look designer-distressed, much like that favourite pair of jeans which looked worn-in from the moment you bought them," the style advice portal explained.

Therefore anyone who has ever bought fashion watches, only to be left saddened when they receive a knock and get marked, could find the Nixon Gunship styles their ideal accessories.

Nixon Watches was created in 1997 in California and has since remained consistently popular with the skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing communities.

However, the brand is now also well-known for its luxury watches, which appeal to people who like more formal designs.

Nixon is now part of the Billabong company.
