Founded in 1892 in America, Ingersoll have a long heritage and are renowned for the first automated production of pocket watches and watches. The Ingersoll brothers soon created the 1 dollar watch, hugely popular they produced 1 million pieces. The 1 dollar watch was so popular they had to buy and setup more production plants, at the same time there product range was expanding with some pioneering technical refinements; then came the smallest pocket watch ever produced.

Ingersoll ethos is to design and supply watches with high quality internals and quality outer materials but at pocket friendly prices. The models do look reminiscent of other brands costing several times as much, with complicated movements, classic styling and substantial build quality they represent great value for money.

Ingersoll use large stainless steel casing, some gold plated with leather/steel bracelets and straps. All models have stainless steel case backs some with exhibition windows for the automatic models. The movements themselves vary hugely from model to model, some of the functions available are as follows: Dual time, sub seconds dial, day, date, month, year, 12/24 hour time and chronograph function. Most models have exibition windows on the watch face so that you can view the intricate movements in action, the face itself being protected by a toughened minerla glass lens.

The Ingersoll watch range is comfortingly heavy, luxury and finished to a very high standard; it baggers' belief that you can get such a fine example of a timepiece for what in today's terms is next to no money at all.
