What is VAT?

Payment Options

As part of watches2u's mission to be as accessible as possible to all of its customers, we offer you both convenient and quick ways for you to pay for your chosen item. When buying through our website you will have to use the Watches2u Checkout. It is a very simple, straight forward procedure that is both logical and highly secure to use. Please note that the total for the entire amount, including shipping, insurance, tax, etc., will be automatically calculated for you once you proceed on through the check out. As to be expected from an e-commerce company, we prefer to accept online payments (such as Credit Card) which are both easier to place and manage, however we still accept conventional methods of payment.

We DO accept the following forms of payment:

PayPal (Instant payments only, NO e-cheques).
Cash (U.K £ Sterling only).
Cheques (U.K only in £U.K Sterling only).
Bank Transfers (Special arrangement ONLY, subject to T&C).
Postal Orders (U.K Only).
Credit and Debit Cards. (No Surcharge)

As part of our service to you, we offer you a convenient way of paying for your chosen items by accepting the following common Credit cards in numerous different currencies (depending on where the items are being bought from) including: £ Sterling, US $ Dollars, Euros, Australian $ Dollars and Canadian $ Dollars via our encrypted secure server which is powered by World Pay, (Run by the Bank of Scotland).

As part of Watches2u's security policy, we DO NOT hold or even get to see your Credit or Debit Card details. All Card payments are taken through are third party service providers: World Pay (part of the Bank of Scotland). It is therefore impossible for us to lose, misuse or pass on your Card details in any way.

There is No surcharge when buying through the web!

When ever we make a refund or partial refund we will generally try to refund you in the same way that the original payment came to us, this will include by credit card. Please be aware that when we pledge to process a refund, although they are usually done straight away, (depending on your card provider) it can potentially take up to 7 working days before the refund will actually show up into your account again.

Any non UK Cheques that are not in British Pounds £ Sterling
Cash on Collection
Cash/Payment on delivery

Advice about paying for things online

As general advice for purchasing things online, there are a few Do's and Dont's about buying online. Firstly, watches2u will never ask you for your Credit or Debit Card details by email, NEVER send your card details by email to anyone! Emails can be hacked and as such are not secure.

The only time we ask for payment is in our check out system, unless it is for re-shipment or part exchange for a different item. If sending cash by post, we strongly advise to send it by Special Delivery only and to disguise it where ever possible to prevent potential theft. If sending payment by PayPal, please find out what paypal account to make the payment to before trying to send payment.

When ever sending a payment, where possible always include as much information as you can including the order/invoice number and contact details including your telephone number.

What is VAT?

VAT is an abbreviation for Value Added Tax which is a form of proportional sales tax that is required to be paid by consumers that live within the EU (European Union). Different rates of VAT apply to different EU member states however since Watches2u.com is based in the United Kingdom, the VAT applied to our goods is the United Kingdoms 15%.

All customers based in the UK will have to pay VAT.

Company buyers outside the UK but within the EU

If you are outside the UK but in an EU member state, providing you are a legitimate VAT registered company, we can exclude you from paying VAT providing you supply us with your VAT number and registered address in advance, prior to placing an order. Please note that Watches2u cannot refund the VAT on orders placed before your VAT number has been verified. To see if you are eligible for VAT exclusion drop us an email with your details on it to VAT Exclusion.

Buyers outside the EU

Please be aware that if we are sending items to you outside of the EU, you will not be paying VAT, however you may be liable for your countries import and customs charges. Watches2u can take no responsibility for any import or sales tax your local customs may impose on your purchase. If you have any doubts, we strongly suggest you talk to your local Customs or Tax office BEFORE buying a product.

Please be aware that Watches2u cannot advise you on YOUR local customs rules and regulations.

The simplest way to be sure that you are viewing the price that would apply to you is to create a member account. Once your account is created with your correct address information, all you have to do is log into your account when you visit the store and you will automatically be shown a price inclusive or exclusive of VAT, depending on your country of origin.
